I’m no English major, I just draw it and letter it haha- but rest assured once the book comes out we will have all these typos fixed!

I agree with APStorm, that is a spelling/grammar mistake that causes me to re-read the sentence many times every time I encounter it because it makes no sense at all. The weirdest thing about it is that “could of” and “could have” don’t even sound the same.

So… is the axe supposed to have slightly bad grammar, or did it (or the writer) just slip up in that third panel..? I think “You may of meant well” would make more sense if it was “You may have meant well” ..?

I notice ‘have’ tends to mutate into ‘of’ in many people’s dialects.

But I could be misreading the sentence, as well…
